Saga of Skylof is a CGI animated action-adventure show by 1001 Spears.

Synopsis[]

The Realm of Skylof was once shared by many species peacefully. After a natural disaster, a mountain rose into the clouds and waterfalls flowed to the land below. The ten species evolved into anthropomorphic humanoids due to the Nether in the water. Not all the animals drank from it, and those who restrained themselves from drinking left Skylof. According to legend, these creatures, called the Behemoths of Past, will return to Skylof when they are needed most.

The creatures were able to live peacefully for decades. The Lawnettes, who first drank from the river, distributed the Nether justly, even to their enemies, to keep nature in balance. Quarrels were kept from turning into bloodshed with Speeder competitions.

This all changed when a young Crats prince, Chocolate, drank the Nether underage and was overwhelmed with the power that rushed through him and became addicted. After convincing Wolf, the leader of the Walmasps, to assist him, they snuck into the Lawnette Nether Temple to get more, but were caught by the Lawnette King, Lycon, his son, Lash, and their guards, Leo and Leon.

This led to a battle between the Lawnettes and Crats when Chocolate fled (Wolf ran as soon as they were caught). In the battle, Chocolate's parents were caught in a crack in the Earth and fell into the chasm.

Chocolate was named leader of the Crats, and through a mind-altering weed, his malicious sister, Cleopatra, was able to convince him to revolt against the Lawnettes.

Allying the Walmasps and Reiges, Chocolate attacked the Lawnettes. The Emiens and Grupards came to their aid and a battle over the Nether temple ensued between the six tribes. The Crats and their allies were defeated during the battle when Lash arrived riding the Lawnette of Past. All present, aside from Chocolate, who Lash defeated, paused their battle to pray to the beast.

Parents Guide[]

Sex & Nudity[]

  • Most characters don't wear much clothes.

Violence & Gore[]

  • Considering the show is based entirely around a conflict, violence should be expected in every episode.
  • Weapons: Swords/Bows and Arrows/Battle Axes/Spears/Clubs/Laser Guns/Missiles: Used to fight, wound and/or kill various creatures and cause property damage. Read below for details.
  • The Lawnette Temple is hit with a nuclear missile, causing a giant explosion (we see bodies fly).
  • Blood is depicted on weapons, implying they were used for brutal killings.
  • A large scale battle is depicted in Corruption, with vehicles from opposing sides trading fire, and troopers stabbing and slashing at one another (blood is depicted). One Lawnette is depicted getting sliced in half (bloody muscle mass and innards are depicted).
  • In A Tale of Bastardization, Chocolate gets his eye cut out (a bloody socket is depicted). A Crats soldier is also depicted getting vertically sliced through the torso (organs are shown); a Grupard then rips the wound open, exposing ribs and viscera.

Profanity[]

  • Words like "bastard" and "piss" are used.

Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking[]

  • Wine and beer are consumed through flasks.

Frightening/Intense Scenes[]

  • Scenes listed under "Violence & Gore" may also be unsettling, suspenseful or frightening to some viewers, particularly younger kids (but that all depends on their age, level of maturity and tolerance for such material), especially when such scenes are accompanied by suspenseful/ominous music

Trivia[]

  • There will be a battle themed-game based on the show involving the characters riding tiny vehicles.
  • All of the characters have alliterative first and last names.
  • One of the preview images depicts Lash mutating into a giant, likely indicating the power of the Nether.
  • Three games for the show are coming. One, Saga of Skylof: Speeders, was released on the app store on January 1, 2019. A second one is for the Nintendo Switch and mobile devices, and is called Saga of Skylof: Lash's Voyage. The last one is an online game coming in autumn 2019 known as Saga of Skylof Online.
